As students living together in NYC, I learned fashion and food all from Judith Jones, who is still today one of the greatest gals and friends I am blessed to have!
Having Judith in my life has expanded my palate to new flavors and combinations, sparked my fascination with the customs and cuisines of the exotic places she’s visited, filled me with wardrobe enhancement ideas, and generally provided some crazy good times!
We sang in the streets (yes, TLC, Mariah Carey and My Fair Lady) while she showed me all the famous and hidden hot spots in NYC, and I watched as people were drawn in by her magnetic energy. It’s no surprise that she has turned her natural gifts into a profession of travel and lifestyle blogging.
When I travel, I’m often paranoid that what I think is an amazing café in Paris, Seville or London, might just be a tourist spot, when I’m there to immerse myself in the local culture. As a bona fide world traveller, Judith always knows just where to go for an authentic experience—not to mention what to wear!
Your clothes and external presentation are a reflection of how you view and feel about yourself. Think about it: when you’re feeling lazy or down, you don’t give your appearance a moment’s thought. When you feel amazing, you dress accordingly. Being true to your own personal style can be uplifting and empowering, which are both important foundations for good health and happiness.
